Trick Tips
This is a page which I have some skateboarding trick tips, these arent to advance, cool though they just require some practice. Hey Jon English learn some of this and you will really be able to be in my website, lol.

The OLLIE
Im going to start with the basics, the ollie. the ollie is a great trick, once u got it down pat u can do gaps, decks, and the occasional grab. To being get comfortable riding, once u got that down ur ready to move on.

Okay no to begin place ur feet perpendicular with the rails (side of ur board), and in the middle. ur not going to be doing an ollie just yet. just jump up and down getting used to landing back in normal riding postion.

The next step is to get used to snapping the tail this is simple, if u dont know what im talking about talk to someone in a skateshop (not a skater they will, i almost garuntee it, make fun of you).

Then all u do is snap and jump this sets u on ur to landing an ollie, it takes practice, i learned on my own and it took me 6 months, dont get depressed just keep skating!

Nollie Shuv it
The first technique trick i learned to do was a nollie shuvit. At first it was just a 180 rotation of the board, now i can catch some air with them. All it takes is patience and time.

To do this trick you need to be able to turn anti-clockwise on the nose while riding regualrly. This is just practice to get used to rotating the board. This shouldnt be to hard, if it is then you probably want to start skating a lot more.

To do the trick its self there are X steps;

1. Begin to make a anti-clockwise nose pivot (as explained in second paragraph

2. This is where the practice comes in, when you have rotated about only 10-15 degrees jump up a little. This causes the board to rotate and not you.

3. When the board has rotated 180 degrees try to land on it, you might spin it to slow and jump to low, cause for a incomplete rotation. If you over jump and/or spin to fast you will over rotate it. You might land a 360 nollie shuvit, but if u cant land a 180 i doubt it. This is a part that requires you to think what your doing and later you just do it on instinct.

The FS180
The FS (Front Side) 180 (one eighty) is one of the most basic, yet challenging to master tricks. It is a 180degree spin which you and your board take.

Front Side means your backfoot travels in front of you, if your regular that means anti-clockwise, goofy clockwise.

To do a 180 you need to know your ollies and have them down good. First bend down and ollie. While gaining height start to turn your shoulders. This will cause your body to shift. Try to use your legs in junction with your shoulders to get a good turn down. Landing switch I realize for the first time is hard. Just keep practicing! Remember that its all in the turning of your shoulders. If you try to do it with your ankles your really not going to go anywhere! Good Luck
